Get ready for the “Investors on Stage” session at this year’s EU-Startups Summit!

On May 7-8, we’ll be hosting another exciting edition of the EU-Startups Summit in beautiful and sunny Malta! With thousands of founders, investors, and startup enthusiasts expected to join us for two days of inspiration, networking, and meaningful connections, the Summit will once again bring together key players in Europe’s startup ecosystem.

Among the highlights of this year’s agenda, we’re excited to bring back our “Investors on Stage” session. The format flips the usual pitch dynamic and puts the spotlight on investors, giving each one a few minutes to introduce their firm, explain their investment focus, and share the types of startups they are currently looking to back.

For founders, this is a valuable opportunity to better understand which investors may be the right fit for their stage, sector, and ambitions. It is also a great way to prepare for more targeted conversations during the event and make the most of the networking opportunities available throughout the Summit.

May 7th 

Alexander Zemlyak: Principal at Geek Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in pre-Seed and Seed-stage startups across various sectors. With nearly a decade of VC experience, he brings expertise in B2B software, data, and scaling businesses. Previously, he led investments at LETA Capital and held key roles at Founders Factory and Magical Capital.

Ana Fernandez: Investment Associate at Nauta, a European venture capital firm investing in early-stage B2B software companies across sectors such as enterprise software, AI/ML, data, security, privacy, devtools, infrastructure and deeptech. Based in London, she focuses on identifying and supporting ambitious founders building durable software businesses across Europe.

Andrea Birolo: Head of Corporate Venture Capital at Reale Group and Head of Digital Business at Reale Mutua Assicurazioni. He has been leading Reale Group’s corporate venture capital activities for over five years, with more than 10 investments across insurtech, fintech, digital health, and mobility. He is also a Board Member at the Italian Insurtech Association and auting.

Angelo Burgarello: Managing Partner at Look AI Ventures, a venture capital firm specialising in pre-Seed and Seed investments in AI-driven startups tackling global markets. Angelo is also actively involved as an Investor Director and Board Member in several innovative ventures, contributing his expertise in business development, IT, AI, and automation.

Ben Joffe: Senior Partner at SOSV. As a DeepTech investor with 18 years of experience across Asia and global innovation ecosystems, he focuses on climate and HealthTech. He is actively involved in ecosystem building, curating initiatives such as the SOSV Climate Tech Summit and global matchmaking events connecting startups and investors.

Emilie Vallauri: Global Program Manager, Portfolio Management & Platform at Techstars, where she supports portfolio strategy and engagement across more than 5,000 startups. Based in London, she is also a Board Member at French Tech Berlin and an active contributor to the European VC community.

Ena Uffelmann: Investment Associate at G+D Ventures, a TrustTech fund investing predominantly in early-stage European TrustTech startups developing solutions for greater security and trust in the digital world. G+D shapes trust in the digital age through built-in security technology across three segments: Digital Security, Financial Platforms, and Currency Technology.

Henry Jurczek: Junior Investment Manager at Elevator Ventures, a venture capital fund. Based in Vienna, he supports the growth of technology companies in FinTech and beyond banking. Elevator Ventures manages over €120 million and brings a strong sourcing and business development network across the DACH and CEE regions.

Jaren Schippert: Associate at identity.vc, a fund backing LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs. The €50 million impact fund invests in startups with LGBTQ+ representation in the leadership team, targeting early-stage companies across all sectors from pre-Seed to Series A in Europe and beyond.

Joe Seager-Dupuy: VC Director at True, a consumer and retail sector-specialist investment and advisory firm. Joe’s focus is on investments from pre-Seed to Series A. His work centres on consumer and retail startups, particularly tech and tech-enabled business models. Kamil Levinský: Managing Director of Jet Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on backing ambitious startups across Central Europe’s industrial and technology landscape. A former CEO and business angel with over 25 years of experience in telecom, media, and tech, he brings expertise in strategy, business transformation, financial management, and sales.

Maarten ter Keurst: Managing Partner at Natural Ventures. He focuses on investing in technology companies addressing global water and food security challenges. The firm supports portfolio companies with capital as well as access to a network of industry experts and partners across the Middle East and Asia.

Michal Sikyta: Investment Director at Soulmates Ventures, leading investments in bold, green innovations with a focus on sustainability and long-term impact. He plays a key role in identifying and supporting startups that drive environmental and social change, acting as a bridge between entrepreneurs and investors to accelerate growth.

Ranier Chircop: Venture Capital Fund Manager at MGI – Malta Government Investments, where he helps manage a €10 million fund backing early-stage startups in Malta. A CFA Charterholder, he brings experience in central banking, fixed-income trading, due diligence, financial modelling, and ecosystem building.

Anna Niittylä: Scout and Nordics Representative at CMPC Ventures, she supports the identification of startups and innovation opportunities across the Nordic ecosystem for CMPC, a global forestry, pulp, paper, packaging and wood products company focused on sustainable natural fibre solutions.

Amit Kumar Agarwal: Founder and CEO of NoBroker.com, India’s proptech unicorn transforming real estate through a tech-driven, no-broker model. He has led the company since 2014, scaling it across major Indian cities and expanding its services beyond property listings into a broader home solutions ecosystem.

Dmitry Firskin is a Partner at the venture capital firm AltaIR Capital. Dmitry has 15+ years of experience in tech and venture capital and has been deeply involved in our investments across B2B SaaS, FinTech, and Future of Work, working closely with founders across the US, Europe, and Israel.

Ewa Chronowska: General Partner at Next Road Ventures, a Warsaw-based VC fund investing in early-stage B2B SaaS and marketplace startups. Viktor Gursky: Partner at 1991 Ventures, a London-based seed fund backing Ukrainian and CEE founders building in defence, cybersecurity, AI, fintech, and logistics. Volker Hirsch: Partner at Brainworks Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm for AI-native founders.
