We are looking for people who live in popular destinations in Albania, Croatia, France, Greece, Montenegro, Poland, Spain and Turkey who are willing to tell us about their experiences of everyday life and rising costs in cities packed with tourists.

Besides the benefits that tourism offers, the other side of the story is that local people often have to deal with higher rents and problems with noise and crowds.

BIRN is conducting this research jointly with New Eastern Europe, Le Courrier des Balkans and El Orden Mundial.

Key things we want to know:
● What issues do you face in tourist-overcrowded towns?
● Is it becoming unaffordable to live in places popular with tourists?
● How do busy seasons affect your everyday life?
● Have you had problems with influencers or so-called content creators?

Your stories will be used to help our research. We will not use personal data without prior consent, and our goal is to point out general systemic problems.

Answers are secure and encrypted.
